This is a feature documentary which records some train conductors career life. It also record the way that the train reconcile the different regions because the war was taken in that area. When I watched that movie, I paid much attention on people. People in the film just talk to camera, it seems like they talk to the audiences, chat with a friend what was happening in their life, what they were used to do and what they are going to do. The conductors talked the changes in their career life. Some thing changed due to the war.

I like this way of recording. Documentary tells the truth, these things in the film really happened in our daily life. I like documentary,

There are two scenes impressed me deeply in this film. At the beginning, the train came in a fog, at the end, the train run through the tunnel. Coming and leaving makes the contrast. But the director chooses a 21 years old man took us on the train. This doesn’t make people feeling boring to watch the documentary. It is worth for me to learn.

Watching many films is really helpful for editing your own film. That can inspires you much. It teaches you how to gathering things together .Carina Correa said.

Watching films is a big project. Not only concern about the plot, but the way it shows and editing.

 

This picture aims to show the starting. So, I gave a close-up shot of the flour! It is the necessary material!

 

These pictures are close-up shot. I planned to make a video to show the progress, but I finally choose to take photos, because if I make a video, the frames passed quickly, if I stay the frame on how to mix the flour with eggs and water, so boring! You will never want to continue watching it anymore. However, pictures can freeze-frame, and they can make audiences to concentrate on them. Pictures delivery the spirit of this spectale.

Comparing with the national food such as pie, pizza, they have different flavors, cheese, pineapple, cranberries. The dumping has different fillings with pork mince mix with cabbage, beef mince with celery, mushroom with spawn.

These three photos show the process of making the material together. Maybe little bit boring, but what I what to express is that: A good film beyond life, but always comes from daily life. These spectacles are common to see, but once you change your sight of view, you discover it has some features that you have not discovered yet.

Actually, the two pictures could be staged to make sure the details can be seen clearly, but I snapped in order to be natural.

To make the dumpling in its shape is the most important stage. This picture is staged.

P.S. This is my first artifact, I use a lot of close-up shot to express my opinion. There’re many things to be improved, for example, I can take some western food photos, to compare.

Making dumpling is just a point, I should make it to a scale. That inspire me to think more!

Little Otik (Otesánek)  deeply impressed me when I saw it in the class, I can never forget it. It is a surrealist film directed by  Jan Švankmajer, which is a well known director which is good at surreal visionary. The film tells an ordinary couple was eager to have a baby, however, they couldn’t have one. The husband use a tree root to make a most unsual baby. Once the man took it to their home, they treat the ‘root baby’ as a real baby.

This film is a standard surreal visionary art film.It is has a  exaggrate sound through the whole film, and this is a symbol of  Jan Švankmajer’s film. These can be seen in the other movies such as Alice, Faust which I watched on the YouTube.Though it is the first time to watch his film, I like it very much. It is not just because he is a famous director but the way how to make the film in a different way. The surreal animation demonstrate things that over people’s imaginations or things people cannnot do in the ordinary life. However, in his films ,he created special ways to deliver his spirit, and also deliver the human beings spirit. The films reflect some respects of the society and the weekness of humans. 

It’s my first time to watch such a ducumentary. It seems that they’ve chosen a random way to set the obstructions. And they edit the film in a special way . Frankly speaking, I can not understand the film totally, but it delivers a good way to explain what human beings thinking about, that is to be true.

The pictures repeat again and again, this type of pictures made people dizzy, because it cut half of the frames in a second. To some degree, the content of the film is familar with the Perfect Life, but the way which they edited it is quite different.

This film gives typical example to learn how to editing, thinking, and also the structure of making a vedio.
